I ported my AT&T/SBC/PacBell 916-331 exchange number to ViaTalk. It took one week from the day I faxed the paperwork in until it began to work perfectly. |

| Seems in most cases, number porting to VoIP providers is getting a little smoother unless certain ILECS are involved. I ported my main number from MyPhoneCompany to ViaTalk and it took 3 days total. However, the number stayed within Level3 so that probably had something to do with it.
I just had a second number ported over from VP which was sitting on Global Crossing and was originally an AT&T wireless cell number. That one took about 6 business days to port over and start working.
I like the VP quality, had a connect account, but couldn't justify the monthly $11 fee for just inbound calls. So I set up the second number as a virtual number with VT and now when I have issues at home, I can set my Sipura to login straight to VT and bypass my Asterisk box and still get both my numbers to ring in and have voicemail. -- FWD#: 223611 |

| Our porting dept. has a pretty good handle on the process and has it streamlined such that it goes nice and smooth at this point, assuming there are no issues on the side of the provider the customer is porting from.
