And considering that games are slated to cost $50 each, you're basically getting the $200 console plus a game at $50.
I did the math and for the price of 1 PS3 base unit ($499.99) with *NO* games, you could buy:
- 1 Wii Console (includes Wiimote Controller, Nunchuck Controller, and 1 game) - 1 extra Wiimote - 1 extra Nunchuck - 3 games - 3 N64 Wii Shop games - 1 SNES Wii Shop game
And you would still have two bucks and change left over.
If you don't care about "high end" features like HDTV or Blue Ray (and I daresay that the majority of people out there don't care about them), then the Wii seems to have the best bang for the buck.
(Of course, I'm not a gamer and don't have $500 to spend on a console system no matter who makes it. So none of the big 3 will really be able to entice me to buy no matter how good the system is. ) |
