Re: "Turd Bird?"

FoxNews is really one of the only reliable outlets in American media. It's funny how the commies label everything that doesn't give the party line propaganda. Really if you watch CNN and don' see their obvious bias, lies, and the way they cater to the lowest common denominator you really are an idiot.

FauxNews is DOWN BY A LOT, CNN and MSNBC are UP BY A LOT. Hard facts are painful but still true.
LOL whatever dude... IF FOX News was really no longer number one, it would be the headline of every other news source, as they would be salivating for this to be true. Your only source is some loser in CA's sorry excuse for a blog. Even CNN has more credibility than that.

The Puffington Host? And you people tell me I am confusing news with opinion?

Besides... Given their own slant, I am willing to go out on a limb and state that even though percentages are down, the sheer number of viewers for FOX News still is higher than CNN or MSNBC. That is, that 35% for CNN may only represent very few people, compared to the 24% for FOX News, where it may represent a far greater number of people.

Besides, the article doesn't mention that they are still drawing more viewers than CNN and MSNBC put together. If they were not, then that itself would have been the headline, and not your little story about percentages.
thanks for confirming you are unable to accept facts.

So they're not lying in news pieces then. Case Closed.
Using your logic of sagging ratings, they are.

Oh boy did you miss my point...

My point is none of the supposedly unbiased news networks deserve to be considered a fair and unbiased source of news information.

I think I learn more from the Daily Show and the Colbert Report about current events than I do from CNN Headline News or and Fox or network evening news broadcast...

Looks like we have another contestant!

Ok, I'll accept your premise. Now all you have to do to convince me that FOX News is full of BS is to show me an example of a news story that was broadcast on FOX News that was later shown to be a lie. You get bonus points if FOX News continued to stick by the story even after it was proven to be a lie.

I figured this would be a very easy game to play, since FOX News, according to you people, is lying about everything all the time. This should provide you with at least one concrete example.

So, using this logic, FNC's 24% downturn in ratings is because they've been caught lying. Seems about right. Meanwhile, other networks have seen an increase in viewership. Hmmm....
Ok, I will type this very, very slowly so you understand it:

When

has

FOX

News

Been

Caught

Lying

In a NEWS piece?
What? We're simply using your logic. FNC's ratings have sunk 24%, so it must be because they've been lying.

Now, just so you don't make the same mistake again, someone stating an opinion, in the context of an opinion show, even if it is something with which you may not agree, is NOT lying about NEWS. His opinion may be wrong, but since its not NEWS, it doesn't count as lying during NEWS.
You sure like to put words in other peoples' mouths. It's a very lame tactic.

LOL Don't tell me that CNN is a great and almighty moral presence either. One of CNN's hosts, Nancy Grace, relentlessly hammered some woman who's baby had disappeared and not long after the woman committed suicide.

Did you know that the woman she "bullied" into committing suicide tried to sell her baby's car seat 3 days BEFORE he disappeared?

Did you see the interview? Didn't seem very upset, or able to keep her story straight. The only sin Nancy Grace committed is doing this on CNN and not Fox, a shill and bully pulpit for the right wing moral "majority".

Sure, FOX NEWS has plenty of opinionated hosts...but CNN has just as much biased opinions flying around as well.

You want to figure out the truth in the news? Listen to a news story reported by each respectfully then put it together because neither side of news network politics will offer the unbiased truth...
There's nothing like that, I agree. However there's a huge difference between CNN or MSNBC and FauxNews and I'm sure you know this.

You were the one wanting evidence these guys are not reputable news sources, which I have easily provided.
You provided nothing. Your quibble was with an opinion piece presented on an opinion program. If you actually watched Hannity and Colmes you would know that the hosts of this program make it very clear that this is an opinion program and not a news program.
said by JakCrow See Profile :

I have clearly indicated twice that it's the viewers that have a "problem" separating opinion from real news.
If you are indeed watching Hannity and Colmes, then you're personifying this problem.

LOL. O'Reilly's rates are historical lows, as well as FauxNews'.

At least read before you embarrass yourself next time...

quote:

Fox News' Ratings Take a Nosedive

TVNewser | Posted Tuesday August 29, 2006 at 05:12 PM

Somewhere, Keith Olbermann is sticking pins in a Bill O'Reilly voodoo doll: Fox News' ratings, TVNewser reports, are down since August of last year. Like, way down. Like down 28 percent in primetime among all viewers, down 20 percent in primetime in the "money demo" (viewers aged 25-54) and down 7 percent in daytime viewership overall. In fact, the only place Fox is up is during the day, when they managed a ratings increase of just 2 percent, and even then only in the money demo.

And lest you think this is an industry-wide trend, consider this: over the same time period, CNN and MSNBC are up. CNN's up 35 percent during the day -- 46 percent in the money demo -- and up 21 percent in primetime overall, 25 percent in the money demo. MSNBC's ratings increases aren't quite as impressive -- up 6 percent in primetime overall, 8 percent in the money demo, and up 36 percent in the money demo during the day, 26 percent overall.

We, of course, are Fair and Balanced here, so there won't be any celebrating later tonight. Certainly we will not be opening any champagne. That would be wrong.
