Just a rant

My service went 2 days ago. The modem logs say there is no response from the DHCP server. I went through one technician on the phone and they put in a support ticket to reprovision the modem. Ok. That took a day, I got an automated call from them that said it was working now -- which it isn't. I phoned them back again and we checked the signal levels, power, etc. They said that it seemed fine and that my MODEM is broken.

Next step, phone Motorola. I went through some more troubleshooting with them and they tell me that my modem (SB5101) cannot be replaced by them. Lovely. I have to get it replace with who I bought it through (3web). 3Web is a %G#@* company and I can NEVER get a hold of anyone. The Motorola guy told me to get Rogers to re-provision it again.

I called them back, just got off the phone with them actually, and this tech told me that because the modem keeps rebooting itself while trying to get a lease that it is perfectly ok. He booked a service call, unfortunately I have no time available until Tuesday.

Very frustrated here!
