Thanks for the response ITK, I have PM'd you the MAC address as well as the pings from last night along with some speed test data.
The optimizer has been removed and the Connection Settings proxy has been removed. I have done a search in the forum and am going to try using an open root server in the DNS to see if that makes a difference. the results of 50 pings to yahoo are posted below.
