Do these CPE take as long to reboot as the 2300s? Do you have to reboot them as often? Aaron |

| Aaron, You will have to reboot almost every radio out there in order to make changes. I have worked with some radios that take less time to apply changes and reboot than the DLB and HighGain radios, and I have worked with radios that take longer?.....................The bottom line is that no matter how long it takes, it is still a PITA if You are rushed or have a busy day to attend to, but as long as there is ROM or flash, there will be reboots. -- »www.wavecrazy.net Join WISPA today! »www.wispa.org/ |

Yes I understand, I guess my words didn't come out right? I wasn't bashing Deliberant etc. just curious if the HGA CPE has the same reboot time. I have the script setup to load clients all automatically so I don't have manually punch everything in etc. and that is great, it's just when troubleshooting client radios it really is, as you said, a PITA My APs I'm rarely doing anything that requires constant rebooting but it's the clients that are killing me Aaron |

I will also agree with the PITA statements. |

Firmware version 1.1 and above has the page save feature with 1 reboot to apply all settings, everything ships now with 1.2. When I saw the original realtek firmware that needed a reboot for every page I had the firmware writers fix that immediately. I do all the radio firmware upgrades here and cannot tolerate that myself.
Now all of our radios have the page save with 1 reboot feature. -- Rich »www.highgainantennas.com |
