| Re: 20G Hard drive Knowing Sony, it could be a standard SATA drive (it's supposed to be hot-swappable so I assume it's SATA not IDE), just with a proprietary connector, maybe even a firmware/software protection scheme to keep people from buying HDDs off the shelf and putting them in their PS3s...

| That's what they did with the official PS2 Hard Drive. Basically, it used a very specific firmware which would allow it to be able to show up in the ps2's file browser and let you save data to/from it.
HDLoader didn't really care what hard drive you had, so long as there was one there.
