Pur digital is one of the internet providers at my complex. They are a smaller outfit and there is not a lot of info on the net about them. Anybody care to share some experiences? In particular, I'd like to know about your experiences with their IP setup (which is a bit unusual).
Thanks a lot. |

| Ok..just checking as your profile says something different
I don't see anything here about them, hopefully, someone will be along shortly that knows more.
I did google this link: »www.purdigital.net/

| reply to saybubba Is there anybody who knows anything about this company? It would appear that they're signing contracts with a lot of the new construction projects that are happening in the Atlanta area. From my limited research, the sales process is not very professional, and their prices, in my opinion, are just short of outrageous considering they don't have any features such as HDTV, or DVRs.
They do have DirecTV service which has HDTV & DVR support, but the deposit and setup fees seem completely out of line considering DirecTV offers to install everything for free. Plus they charge a monthly fee to access the satellite dish.
(From what I understand this fee is sometimes included in the association fees). |

| I live in one of those condo buildings (the builders also own Purdigital - it is the ONLY choice in this building except for doing DirecTV). Prices for cable are high - but the internet itself is included with the service. Very fast service with the Internet (just tested 12 MPS down, 16 MPS up - about as fast as I have ever seen), the cable service has much to be desired. They keep on promising HDTV support for their service - but it has been a promise for a year now.
Level of professionalism is somewhat amateurish - but the service itself is more reliable than Comcast in the same area (used to live at an apartment complex with Comcast and had a long list of woes there). I have been here for 11 months now - been down 3 times in that period - all outages less than 2 hours.
All in all I am paying half of what I paid for my Comcast Cable + Internet for my Purdigital experience... not all that terrible. |
