I just got mine to work....and you don't have to do anything fancy. I just set up my house and my neighbors house. First time it took me 3 hours, the second time it took 3 minutes.
Linksys WRT54G with a Westell 6100 model on Verizon DSL.
Go into the modem and set everything to bridge, then turn off DHCP.
Enter the setup of the router (make sure you have everything set to factory defaults). Change the Internet Connection Type from Automatic Configuration DHCP to PPPoE. Enter your DSL credentials from the modem under username/password.
You are now officially on the Internet. I went through all of the steps of cloning my MAC address, rebooting pc's routers and modems and nothing worked. I'm not sure how much the guy from Linksys/Cisco makes (the one that wrote the "how to" on the Linksys website) but I'm sure it's probably too much. |
