| Re: Westell Versalink Gateway - Firmware update Some more info just in case. I had XP Pro srv pack 2 and could not run the update file from Verizon. If updated from the web browser (in modem configuration) I got a CRC error. When I ran the update the way Verizon said to do it would just search away at 192.168.1.255 and stick. No way to change it to 192.168.1.1 to find the 327W modem. So this is what I did, I forgot I had reset the modem and originally I had the modem at 192.168.1.9 but after resetting it defaulted back to 192.168.1.1 My gateway (tcp properties - gateway) was still .9 So... After changing gateway to .1, I ran the update fine, it seems to be faster in 2000 though. If you have a 2k system use that. |
