Mariah is a great singer... but when she hits her high notes it seems a little bit like she is just Screaming into the microphone.

| As you might see in the video, some songs it sounds as if she were screaming, but on others, it sounds like a whistle. The reason for this is vibrato.

I think she has a great voice but what use is doing that "Whistle Register" thing unless she's trying to train dogs?
Does it make the songs better? Do the songs even need that kind of thing? |

The ear thing is so she could be able to hear her whistle register pitch over the crowd.
I guess that's her "signature" thing, whistle register.
