They won't be able to get one most likely. Only 400,000 machines are slated for North America this year. And they're going at a rate of around $500 for the base system and $600 for the premium system.

Us 56Kers just keep getting pushed aside more and more with each passing week....it sickens me.
I like the Nintendo Wii quite a bit, but I doubt I'll be able to participate in it's online activities much...curse you 56K! Oh, wait, too late.... |

| We have BB, but the console is not connected. So to me that is a waste. The important part is the game play and graphics of the PS2, that is what the kids here like and think the PS3 will have more of. -- I am not lost, I find myself every time. |

They will have 2 million PS3s out by the end of the year. That's still half of what they originally announced, but it's much better than the Xbox 360 release. |

I have zero interest in same-same XBOX and PS consoles, but I'm seriously considering picking up a Wii. |

You fail to realize that DSL, cable, and fiber do not span the entire country.
And don't even think about mentioning "well you should move then". I'm sorry, I enjoy this little place in the country that I have grown to immensely like over 14 years, I call it "home".
Please, don't et me started. |
