hobgoblinSortof AgoblinPremium join:2001-11-25 Orchard Park, NY kudos:4 | Adelphia Migrations The Migration season is coming thick and fast.
I just wanted to say goodbye to those long standing members of this forum who will move away from here. Its been a blast.
I am proud to have been part of this forum from the early days through to this point and I will continue to post in here until we get to a point when the forum is no longer productive.
The sale and migration has created an amazing set of challenges with the splitting up cable systems across the US while of course trying to do it without anyone noticing.
Over the last couple of weeks as I would expect we have seen a number of threads started by our "newer" members who are unaware of the history of this forum and how it developed from an "Adelphia Sucks" bitchfest to a very useful resource for customers.
Over the last five years we have had all kinds of people from ADELPHIA lurk and post in here, some who were at a level I will never achieve (thank God). While creating discussion, we have been able to create focus on a number of issues that may have been missed.
As the migration continues I am sure we will see more problems that will be resolved pretty quickly. I really would hate to see this forum finish as it started.
If I had to single out two people that have made an Impact in here.......
Macleech: Thanks for all you have taught me...words can't express what an asset you are.
Sorto: You and Keys took this forum to a level that I don't think any other forum got to. Mostly it was by locking me in Forum Prison! Thanks.
Good luck to everyone that has posted from a semi-official standpoint, you all know who you are!
Good luck to all the regulars.

We had a number of people in very high positions in the company who read this forum on a regular basis. I dont believe any were being insulted and I have no intention of "naming names"

Thank you for your time and dedication to the Adelphia customers of this forum (and site). Given the pay scale here you went far beyond the call of any duty.

Any time you make it to the southwestern part of the state, give me a call, I'll nab you some Blue (though it's not very popular around here). -- Black and Gold all the way. |

 | reply to hobgoblin I also would like to commend all of the Adelphia techs who helped out scores of people with problems on their own time.
I've always had very good service with Adelphia and I appreciate that. If I ever had a problem all I had to do was come to this forum and if someone else had already posted the problem I didn't have to call tech support.
All of the techs should have been paid, at least mileage, to help out on this forum. You saved the company allot of time on support calls and other issues.
I wish all of you the best of luck and I'm going to miss Adelphia and the techs.
P.S. If you have problems during the transition please take a moment to think how much goes into doing what needs to be done to achieve this. I couldn't do their jobs any better. Be patient and know that they are working to get us switched over to where we are going. --

The level of "free" service has always been excellent after all you guys do post on your own time. For me on several instances you went beyond normal customer service levels to help me.So my hat is off to you and your fellow workers and hope the transition goes well......

I'll chime in,even though I don't post in this forum too much(no problems..no need to post) I do thank the Adelphia employees who came here on their time and really made a effort to help.
I would like to single out Hob and Mac Leech and also a tier two who went out of his way to help me and who's handle escapes me(sorry 'bout that) |

I'm sure I'll still be around and occasionally bitching about the service of whoever I end up with. I have a feeling I won't be TWC for long...I'm not very impressed with the service in the last month or so... I have chalked it up to transistion problems, but with I'm starting to get this deja vu feeling...
Hob, Mac, and a few others who aren't here and I wouldn't mention anyway, I appreciate all you have done for this forum and for Adelphia customers. -- I like to break stuff |
