I'm going to upload some pics of the Luxul antennas with out the shell.Hey guys, And why can't you get the circular pol antennas in 19dbi or say 24dbi?
I'm curious as well as to what's inside the CPAs.

Thanks Viperm. Don't tempt me on the California trip, I've never been ! This time UPS will probably have to do; I can't seem to get caught up on everything for very long. I'll drop you an e-mail. Thanks again.

SuperDog, I'm sure they are not changing physics as it seems they claim to by using circular polarity. Circular may indeed have advantages in some types of environments, but will certainly not be any better at bending over a hill then any other polarity at 2.4ghz. They did make the claim, but it is as you say, it takes a bit more horsepower then they would have to be able to change physics. Viperderm, the antennas you have on that roof do indeed look like the type I am working on. If you do find yourself with a surplus of them, I would be interested in snagging one from you for analysis if you wanted to make me a deal on one. I'm sure that they have loop spacing and other dimensions refined a lot better than I do, and it would help to see a commercially made one.

Hey there is a setup on aroof we will be workign on in the next month or sow with 2 tripods with about 6 eaxch of these (12 each) They owner of the building asked us to take them down. I am guessing they look like 2.4 units..

I will ask to see if they are going to want to keep them, but I am guessing not since the WISP is no longer in business..

here is some pics of them
»www.blazenwireless.com/motorola/···lery.htm just look around there is like 2 or 3 pics of them on our site that we took.. We have not started to work on the bulding yet..
How much they worth to you??

Part of the problem going THROUGH buildings is that of multipath. Eliminate the multipath and the remaining signal albeit weak, should still be usable. I would not however claim NLOS and 9 miles in the same sentence.

Now if someone made a circular polarized omni for the base...

It is because of Sunday Night again. Most normal folks are snuggled up to their fat, smelly, old ladies right now, asleep, and dreaming about all the work they have for tomorrow. I don't have a fat, smelly, old lady to worry about. Just a big jug of booze, so I'm still trying to figure out what to do tomorrow.
Hmmmm......With thoughts like that about women, I understand why You only have a bottle of booze for company, LOL!

»www.luxul.net/Individual_Products/12T.htm same antenna for a cost of about $3 and maybe start my own line of WISP hardware. This antenna »www.luxul.net/Individual_Product···olic.htm Sells for $400 and should cost about $12 to manufacture. Somebody is making a helluva profit, and I can too even if I sell for 1/3 the price they sell for.
I was reading their sales tag for this unit, and I must say, they seem quite confident about the ability to change physics?. From their website:
"The Luxul Wireless High Gain 14.5 dBi Circular Polarized Antenna is the perfect choice for point-to-point application. This patent pending antenna does not require line-of-sight. It has unsurpassed structural penetration capability and its narrower beam and higher gain can achieve an operating distance of up to 9 miles."
While I know that circular polarized antennas seem to better over water because of less multipathing?, I wonder if it is possible that it also achieves higher penetration through solids like buildings?.

get me this one »www.luxul.net/Individual_Products/12T.htm I will give you 5 dollar hell yea I can save 18 more dollar at my antenas
You will get them for free. I will need testers, and I need you to give me good data about how well they work ! I made an 18 turn antenna already, and that thing had some incredible gain. I need to find some more time to work on them more. I am too busy fixing computers to work on antennas. I need to get the whole antenna market to make it worth the trouble I think, and Luxul already has them ready.

I don't have a fat, smelly, old lady to worry about. Just a big jug of booze, so I'm still trying to figure out what to do tomorrow. I made some circular helix antennas by hand out of some 12ga copper wire that have great range. I found some commercial product that sells for $112 dollars at wisp-router. I am on the border of Mexico, and have done a lot of work for the factories over there.
