DLB2300 Ethernet length ?

Does anyone know the maximum length of Ethernet cable that the DLB 2300 can accomodate?

I didn't see it listed. I was hoping the DLB2300 could do 100 meters both for PoE and for the ethernet signals.

The PTP I'm thinking of doing, may need close to 100 meters.

Thanks,

I have not had much luck with anything over 250', but I only use Cat5E. Maybe Cat6 will run up to and over 300'.

What was the limiting factor? I assume it wouldn't power up properly over 250 feet?

100 meters is maximum distance for Ethernet runs (for just data) so you're probably tapped out, especially when you through PoE into the mix. As slipstream suggested, Cat6 is probably suggested for very long runs and I'm not even sure if you could effectively pass PoE. What about deploying a small switch in the middle?

The radios would wander off and get lost. I would have to reboot them about once a day, if they worked at all.

Hi guys:

I got hold of the mfg and they said I could use a 48 V power supply if I'm going to have a length up to 330 feet.

I'll probably use a switch or hub to extend the distance of the ethernet line, since it will be right on the edge of 330 feet.

Thanks much for your info, since that lets me know about the length for the 18 V power supply.
