1 edit | Civil War Battlefield Photography Contest I saw this contest and thought of Gemologist right away, but it also might be of interest to several other photographers here.
quote: The Civil War Preservation Trust and The History Channel are teaming up once again to encourage amateur photographers to capture images of America's Civil War battlefields and historic shrines. Together, the two national organizations are sponsoring CWPT's tenth annual Civil War photography competition.
Judging from last years winners, many people here have a great chance at $250! As always, read the rules carefully before submitting to make sure there is no transfer of copyright, etc. Best of luck!

1 edit | Re: Civil War Battlefield Photography Contest Thanks for posting this Overhill. Since I don't shoot Professionally anymore I wonder if that makes this open to me?
Well, phooeeey!
said by rules :
Please send high-quality, high-resolution prints only (no slides or digital photographs) and make sure they are no larger than 8" x 10".
Well that kind of stinks. Wonder how they are going to tell the difference between Digital Prints and Film prints considering they come off of the same Printers!? I guess I will just have to break out the Argus C-3 Brick or one of the Chinons then... Hmmm.. -- Images are Copyrighted and use is NOT permitted. What is RSD? | |

| Re: Civil War Battlefield Photography Contest said by Gemologist :I will have to do 4&5 yet, not a problem. But whatcha think of the above choices? I think those images would be magnificent examples. I'm off next week, guess where I'll be with my camera? I'll even have my wife's just in case. -- »www.pbase.com/jrslater/

| I'm fairly certain that you can submit "digital photographs", but they must be in the form of a print. Have Winflash print a few $0.29 5x7's and win those categories!! -- Judd Patterson Photography | |

| Re: Civil War Battlefield Photography Contest Actually, I may be able to make it up to Gettysburg. You up to a little meet and greet? Monday I was thinking about shooting around Antietam and then if there's time to try and get a few images around Harpers Ferry. I'm free all week, just got to be back to pick the wife up from work. -- »www.pbase.com/jrslater/
