Where is it? I see the same thing lilhurricane See Profile was seeing, no TI7.

Once you register goto Acronis website and log in then goto your account and purchased products and then click TI 7 link and there is a download link there. That is how I got it

And you too, Grail Knight, for the link.

Just like WinRar awhile back, getting an older version as they promote v. 9.0, but who cares? Sweet deal.

Why would Acronis do this? Not that I am complaining, but aren't they shooting themselves in the foot?

This is version 7 they are giving away. They let you know that version 9 is now out. The plan is probably that you will like 7 so much, you won't mind spending the $30 to upgrade to 9.
Marketing departments do research on this kind of thing. Are they right? Couldn't tell you.

It looks like the last build of TI 7 (638). I compared the MD5 to the one I downloaded a few years back and it's identical. I'd suggest to anyone who does not use an imaging utility to grab this ASAP... TI can save you hours if not days restoring your system should disaster strike (either hardware or software). It's a great deal!

A very stable build too! Worse thing I ever did was upgrade to TI 8, and all their finicky builds. That is why I never upgraded to TI9.

Yep... was probably the best of version 7. It's definitely worth filling out the form. I think a few here still use 7 because it works so well for them.

Hello! This is sounding better all the time!
Thanks for the additional info, gents!

If they're expecting us all to upgrade, that version 9 better be one smoker!! LOL!

Sweet deal!
For those of you who have suffered through our endless threads about Acronis TI but never wanted to shell out the cash to purchase it, here's your chance!

And as mentioned, newer isn't always better.
The last build of TI 7 is definitely a worthwhile download....and the price is pretty hard to beat.

So let me get this straight they are giving Acronis True image 7 away for free right. I already have the version 9 upgrade which i bought back in march, so now that i have version 7 i can use my version 9 upgrade to upgrade 7 to 9 this is so cool.

Which will in turn give you two comparatives to follow up with a report on. And I believe we would all like to know if it's worth spending the $30 differential between the two versions.
So let me just say in advance-- thanks! We all appreciate it!

I know TI7 allows for incremental backups, but does it also allow for differential backups? I think the latter is only supported in TI9.
