That usually happens when the Free version servers are overloaded. Having said that, I updated a few free installs today and didn't notice any slowdowns. Try it again in a little while.

Bayside, NY		 Hey I dont know if this is just me, but I cant seem to update AVG. Whenever I go to update it it just hangs and says closing connection and it gets stuck there. Anyone else having problems updating AVG?
