@verizon.net
what is the default user name and password for DLINK router?

I just reset my router and I need to know what the default user name and password is. I have the DLINK VDI-624. Thanks for any info.

When they did my install, they changed the default to my router to my verizon account login name and password.

I know, but when you press the reset button on the back, that gets erased.

Type in ADMIN for the user, leave the password blank.
Enter PASSWORD IN in the password field

(the Verizon firmware is different from the stock DI-624, which does not require a password)

Depending on the age of the router and/or the installed firmware, the login options are:

1. admin / password

or

2. admin /

If neither work then there is a likelihood that the router has failed in some form. In that case, you'd need to wipe the firmware on the router and reimage. That would require downloading the most recent firmware first (connect WAN cable to your PC) and saving it to your computer.
