Problems with WGT624 - No wireless

Hi All,

I've been running my Netgear WGT624 for about 8 months now. Its been working without any issues....doesn't dtop the connection but anything like that. Today, I got home from work and connected to the router wirelessly and it worked. after a while, I shut down and came back to reconnect an hour or two later. It would connect to the router, but i would not get an IP address.......so the connection would fail. This has happened before (about 2 weeks ago)....but it seemed to have resolved itself. The only option is to reset the router, but then there is NO wireless light at all! I cannot not even log on to the router (192.168.1.1).....it just says "page cannot be displayed"..

So, for now, my WGT624 is just functioning as switch! :-(

Does anybody know why my router is doing this???

Re: Problems with WGT624 - No wireless

This happenned to me with a Linksys WRT54G. Can't access the router utility, but still works as a switch. The only solution I could come up with is a hardware defect. So, I bought a Netgear WGT624. Just got it today, and so far I'm unimpressed. The wireless signal and LAN keep dropping out, the wireless much more than the LAN. I got it as a refurb from Woot and thought I'd take a chance. So far, I wish I hadn't.
