FIOS TV - DFW AREA - HDNET & Dallas Mavericks games

I am just wondering. Im trying to watch the Mavs games on HDNET. However on my FIOS TV channel 817 it is showing a complete different program. It did this on Tuesday and showed some History program and now tonight they are showing the hockey game. I want to watch my basketball. Whats wrong with this? Something with verizon or the feed from HDNET?

How can i get it fixed??

thanks

Re: FIOS TV - DFW AREA - HDNET & Dallas Mavericks games

The following was posted at highdefforum.com

Please note: For Verizon customers, unfortunately, even though the Mavericks game is listed on your on-screen guide, Verizon is unable to provide Mavs coverage this season for technical reasons. Please contact Verizon with any questions.

Anyone in the DFW area of TX aware of this?

Wow, that is weird. I hope someone who had a chance to contact them can post what they found out. Is this a one time occurance or is it going to be like this for all the Mavs games on HDNET?

Re: FIOS TV - DFW AREA - HDNET & Dallas Mavericks games

According to the Mavs web site, KTXA (previously UPN) will be broadcasting some of the Mavs games as they did last year. KTXA has a HD channel, so hopefully they will have it in HD like last year.

Other channels that will carry the games are FSNSW, TNT, ESPN, ABC, NBATV, SCORE, TSN.

Well I called in and they said the "engineers are aware of the issue and are already in the process of fixing it." but it didnt sound like the guy knew and was kinda making up an answer for me.

I am not worried about the rest of the games for the real season as they are all on UPN21, FSSW, ESPN and TNT and all of them have HD channels. However the preseason games are all on HDNET for the most part and none of them seem to be working. Tuesdays game was not shown either and tonight the hockey game was played instead. I dont understand why. Anyone know any other details. My friend with DishNetwork got the same feed as I did (hockey game) so i dont know if its verizon or HDNET?? Mark Cuban fix your network so we can watch your team! lol

More than likely, Verizon is getting the feed from HDNet on a national level and doesn't have the connection to get the regional feed. Probably something they did not think or know about until Mark Cuban decided to broadcast his own team on his own network. Hope they get it straightened out soon!!!! HDNet posted a message about the problem last night.
