Its amazing how people (children in particular) get so irate about advertising on the internet, as if transmitting data over a copper string (owned by someone else) could be somehow be equated with freedom of speech. Radio frequencies are a limited resource that the public does have an interest and right to allocate, yet these same foul mouthed children don't seem to be bothered by the beer, deodorant, automobile, and other useless junk peddled on their TV's. Go figure. If they object to looking at pop-ups, they can use a utility to block them. |

| This is still unsolicited advertising. A TV viewer or Radio listener has the simple ability to change the channel to avoid the ads. Also, they make a good bathroom break.
What are you going to do while surfing? Get up every three minutes? Also, there are many people not aware enough of what's going on, or know how to find and install these blockers.
Shoot, I'm happy that my Dad communicates by email now. Why should he have to worry about such a nuisance? He hasn't reached the age yet that he'll need a 3 minute reminder for bathroom breaks. -- -- Hey Daddy, the computer stopped working! No, Honey, that's just @home -- |
