Hey all,
Back to work and busy lately. For those of you that don't know, I work as a fabricator/welder building ornamental aluminum railings, gates, stairs, etc. Been buying all sorts of tools and equipment. I'd like to start up my own fabrication shop in the future or at least some side work.
Also paying off some whopper medical bills up over $7000 put building a new stats box on the back burner.(I'm fine, nothing major even though the price was)
The last machine was the one built from donations from the following people and was built around 6/2003

That machine has crunched it's last stat run. It's either the motherboard or CPU. I tested everything else and didn't find any problems.
That leaves the following:
- ATX Case and Power supply
- 512MB(2 x 256MB) PC-3200 ( CORSAIR MEMORY XMS Extreme Memory Speed Series, Low Latency )
- WD WESTERN DIGITAL 40GB 7200RPM EIDE HARD DRIVE
- Whatever crappy video card I had in there. Linux console so it didn't matter.
I can say 512 RAM wasn't enough. The stats swapped out while running. I'm not to up to date on the RAM speeds, but it sounds like the PC3200 isn't going to cut it on a newer board.
We don't need mach speed here. Just a decent mobo/cpu and ram.
I'm would like to see it running again. I have no problems getting it set up and running again. I just can't justify the expense right now. When the machine died I posted and let everyone know it was toasted. A few people contacted me and I appreciate that. It was just bad timing and I was concentrating on other things. Also I didn't want to come on the forums asking people to donate.
If you guys can work out a solution that would be great. Let me know what you come up with and I will get the stats up and running again. No duct tape though
