All Express Oil Changes having a sale on winter air

Just got my oil changed and paid half price per tire for winter air because the temps have warmed up. Should be in effect until Thursday at least.

Winter air regularly $10 per tire, now only $5. However don't get bullied like I did and pay $10 for the full sized spare. A special is a special.

Winter air?

Sounds like you are paying for something that should be free. Seeme to me to be another one of the nitrogen scams.

Winter air is air that has been pre-chilled so that it won't contract in the winter and throw off your tire pressure...it saves a bunch of gas.

Also they topped off my blinker fluid for free.

Does Express also lubricate muffler bearings? It's tough to find a shop that will do that.

That's a new one on me. I have never even heard about different types in air in tires.

Well as much driving as I do, I will do anything to save on gas mileage.

Do you know for sure that it actually saves on gas mileage?

Actually, it's just an old joke. Air is air, at least as far as your tires are concerned.

And there are no muffler bearings, either.

Just to add my 2 cents to this, I hope this is all a joke, but if you really bought "Winter Air", because it is Chilled, let me ask you this: Do you think it stays chilled?

If the reason it was on sale was because the temp got warmer, the air in the tires will also change to the outside air temperature.

Using a pressure gauge every few weeks would be a much wiser choice if you are that concerned about tire pressure being perfect to save a few pennies on gas

When they topped off the blinker fluid..

I hope they used the purple stuff, because it's out of season now to use the silver label

Atlanta is a terrible place to try and sell blinker fluid. Nobody uses them, so the fluid never wears out.

I just added the following things to my car for winter:

Cross-drilled brake lines, keeps the fluid temp low.
Hollow spark plug wires
Engine oil bypass kit(stops the oil from getting dirty so I don't have to change it)
Piston return springs

Huh?

They imported the air from up north.

Seriously, the climate in Atlanta is mild enough so that if you have been maintaining your vehicle properly there is little special that needs to be done to prepare your car for the winter months.

However, season changes are major time that your car battery will go out. Don't forget to check that!

Along with antifreeze and tire tread. But if you are checking those year round, winter should not be a problem.

Well I just went by Express Oil change and winter air was now being sold for $20 a tire. Supply and demand.

Turn signal fluid was still on sale until Halloween.

Did you remember to to get glovebox grease & horn fluid?

Timing is important, if you're going to do the signal fluid, you need to do the horn at the same time.

Tell'm lil sent ya - they may throw in a purple air freshener too
