Re: IE7.0 Released!

No problems here - installed on 3 machines without incident. Was already running RC on all three.

There are numerous reports that IE 7 is not working properly with Outlook Web Access. Has anyone here tested OWA with IE 7 yet?
On my XP-SP2 HE system with Outlook 2003, mail that is read in anything other than plain text open incredibly slow since updating to IE7. Takes over 2 minutes for some to open. Converting all mail to plain text...they pop right open.

It says -

Solution:
Disable active scripting support.

So...how do you do that?

You put your homepage in Trusted Zone where that setting is enabled, otherwise, disabled for other zones

I just installed IE7.0 on my work PC. It doesn't look at all like IE7 on the screenshots. It looks and functions just like IE 6 actually. Here's some screenshots. The version box looks much different from the one posted in this thread.

the outlook web access is not working with my IE 7.0. I have problems performing Spell-Check mostly. It seems that a add-on is causing some kind of problem and having IE 7.0 Shut down on me.

M$ is to greedy and stupid!. How can they pretend to win the Browser war when they are the only ones imposing the stupid Windows Validation Crap. There are millions of illegal copies running around, weather by choice, preloaded OS or M$ validation issues that are not going to be able to upgrade or won't bother to upgrade. Must people will ether switch to another browser, keep what they have or wait for Vista.
Why would a stupid browser need validation? I'll stick with firefox.

That's not a screenshot of IE7. The buttons, etc are all different in IE7.

Did you reboot?

Ok after installing IE7 it restarted, did a bunch of processing after next log on and then logged me off. I logged back on again and got what you see in the screenshots. Thinking maybe Windows is missing something, I turned on Automatic Updates and it installed 20 updates. I restarted the computer and now IE7 doesn't even run. You click on the icon, and you see internet explorer open but then immediately close! IE Tab in firefox doesn't render any pages either.

So I went into add/remove programs and uninstalled the beast. Now I'm back to IE 6.0 and it works correctly.

Strangely enough, I had the Beta version of IE 7.0 on here previously, and that worked correctly.

I'll stick with Firefox. If I really need to render something with the ie engine, that's what ietab is for.

Well I had the IE7rc on this machine. installed final release over it. Program uninstalled RC and installed final version.

No issues, OWA is running fine.

OWA has worked flawlessly for me since the first beta release.
