I know it and not much to do with a "monopoly".10 miles from here where they(Centurytel) also have cable as competitor the same package is $10 cheaper.Have no other option than dial-up and satellite.:-(

You're not serviced by AT&T in gulliver? Too bad. You could get DSL at 1.5 Mb for $13. If you're paying $50 for that speed, I pity the fool.
