On Dec 5, 2008 I had the 18/1.5 mbps package installed. I was on the border, at 2700 ft, of not being capable to support this speed tier. Fortunately the installer was willing to give it a shot and it worked quite nicely. In lieu of FIOS, which I think will *never* come to Austin, this seems my best alternative. |

How do I add additional pins to the map? I have added the one near my home but also know about others around area. My only options are to delete or move the pin I aded. |

| They still have only Bellsouth offerings in Knoxville, TN, however I just spotted a nice shiny new VRAD in the middle of Sequoyah Hills. They were laying the fiber back in April. Hopefully availability will come here very soon!

| Man, i've seen a plenty of those cabinets around, not at my rt, but just about every where else.. They are much nicer than the huge refridgerator vrads for sure... They just make a teleco seem soo much more "with it" on technology when you see them deployed..
Now if they'd just keep deploying them lol.... |

They have turned a few neighborhoods up in my area, but then moved on and seem to have forgotten about 2 of them that have around 500 houses together. |

| Bah. I'm in Southeast Oak Park (60304)...my neighbors across the street can get U-Verse....and I can't. Been that way for at least 6 months, and of course their support drones have no clue whether they'll ever bother expanding out to the last two blocks of town. |

Make a post in the Direct forum with your address and (if you have AT&T already for POTS, etc) your account number (mine was my phone # with three extra digits at the end).
I don't know if bluepoint951 is still available, but he helped my out and got me "green" pretty fast (I was in the same situation as you). If he isn't there, I'm sure Matt or somebody can check on it for you. |
