Last I heard, Grove'tucky (or Grove City, if you prefer) is supposed to be the first location in the Columbus area where UVerse is turned up. No word on when that will be, though. |

Also, does anyone know the number to call from AT&T to verify U-Verse service? |

1 edit | reply to SQiRL said by SQiRL :Uverse is a package deal to where we are currently offering IPTV High Speed Internet And soon VOIP in One package. FTTP is nothing more than a designation for the physical carrier. It does not specifically list if you are on the DSL or Uverse Infrastructure. Currently, Richardson Texas does not have Uverse deployed so you are on the DSL infrastructure. i find it kinda funny that ive seen AT&T commercials in my area dissing VOIP and comcast digital voice (essentially VOIP) yet they are gonna start offering it themselves...
[EDIT]: and not only that, it was "AT&T BROADBAND" (remember that adventure?) that originally pushed the launch of the digital voice on what is now comcasts networks. imagine what it would be like with at&t having almost everything now, and then still having AT&T BROADBAND...scary |

| They are in Plano for sure....trucks installing new accts right now. They came to my door and if I wasn't locked in with DirecTV I might consider it. When they split out just the internet portion I will be interested also. Or if I can get just VoIP/Net then I would sign up. I'm at McDermott and Independence in Plano. |

| reply to attcssguy Spoke with AT&T/SBCGlobal.net Support and Sales last week. Sales staff is currently being trained for Michigan. Yeah! That "box" has been sitting 500 feet from my house for over a year! Even has power meter hooked up. Lots of promises over the last 2 years. Let's see what happens in June 2007. Looking forward to it; can only get 1536/384 DSL & DishNetwork. In all, a better deal & more consistent than cable was. |

1 edit | I just(wed) got my u-verse service hooked up here in northeast dallas (just south of garland).....I have dumped time warner and my pots phone service.... going to save about 60 bucks! Plus with the 300 package I have more HD channels then TWC has. My internet download/upload speed is from 5.3 to 5.9/976ish. Not too shabby! |
