Any chance you can talk your neighbors into putting their own pin in? |

@ameritech.net | reply to lev This is a question that I should have asked before. Can non-registered users add to this map? If not I can give you addresses and pictures if you'd require proof.
I can not seem to find a way to add to the map. |

When I saw it was powered by google maps I thought for some reason I could use my google ID to add to it. |

Do they carry CNN International? Yep. Apologies if this is in the wrong section, but since it was brought up I have one quick question... Does AT&T inject local/national commercials into CNN International programming? On Comcast they mostly show CNN International promos during the breaks which give times particular shows will air in GMT/CET format. Thanks in advance. |

@swbell.net | reply to lev Thanks. I'll sign up for it when it gets here - Comcast dropped our CNN International. |

| reply to lev So I live in a neighborhood that usually is on top of the most latest availability, yet I recently found out that AT&T is not available yet to my part of the neighborhood, but on the other side of my neighborhood(which isn't all that big) it is available. Why didn't they just add it to the entire neighborhood? |

  I sell uverse
@rr.com
| reply to lev Just want to put this out there in case anyone is interested. I have been selling bundle packages of phone and D.S.L for the last 2 years for ATT. Recently they shut our program down and we just finished training so we can offer U-verse. I work in these 5 states. Michigan, Ohio, Wisconson, Illinois, and Indiana. I am looking to hook with someone in one of these states who can provide me information regarding areas where U-verse has recently become available. I had a small workforce over the last few years who would give me a heads up on new areas where D.S.L had recently become available and was very succesful sales wise where in turn I hooked up those who provided me with the information. So in case anyone is interested give me a shout. |

Anyone out there have any idea when U-Verse will be available in the Richardson, Texas area...specifically the 75080 area code?? I was formerly SBC fiber to the curb till AT&T took over. |

| reply to NazGul2k When did AT&T take over? On Jan. 1, 2006, AT&T was absorbed by SBC. AT&T CEO David Dornan exercised his Golden Parachute, while SBC CEO Ed Whitacre took over the reins at AT&T (and stayed in control until his retirement in June, 2007, or so).
Think of the "new" AT&T as SBC in new livery. -- Norman ~Oh Lord, why have you come ~To Konnyu, with the Lion and the Drum |

| reply to koolkid1563 The weird thing is...when I called the U-Verse sales line to see if I have service in my area they said that I do based on my phone number, but when they entered my address when ordering service they said that actually I do not have U-Verse in my area yet...I was then sent up the line so to speak and another representative told me that they had been having trouble converting some of the fiber lines in Richardson to U-Verse lines...can enyone elaborate on this issue?? |

| Service is not available to me, but my next door neighbor can get U-verse. There's only on RT for our entire housing development. Go figure.

| reply to koolkid1563 I live in South Arlington, one mile north of Mansfield (for you Texans out there).
I just had an ATT rep knock on my door this afternoon. He says fiber is available to my neighborhood node and only covers about half of each of three streets. They will run CAT5 (not CAT5e or CAT6 or fiber) to my home's DSL outlet. More network drops cost more. Apparently, they are offering package deals of HSI (6M) and one month free of U-verse to those of us who live on the 3 streets that the fiber "reaches".
I have ATT DSL and local service which is why he came calling today. I didn't have time to talk to him today, so he is supposed to come back and see me on Friday (29th) to talk about this. I have Dish Satellite with a two-year commitment for a recent upgrade. The sales person states that since Dish is owned by ATT and U-verse is an upgrade, that early cancellation fees won't apply. I will be checking with Dish on this.
He went on to say that it is a five (5) hour install. I'm curious how they are going to work this. What is going to run from the node to my home--hopefully not CAT5 (unless it is rated for outdoor use)?
I have two Dish 522 DVR boxes covering four rooms. That second DVR was my recent upgrade. ATT is proposing to provide one DVR box (137 hours of recording) that covers 4 rooms. The special only includes a U-verse signal/access to three rooms. The fourth room is $5.99 extra (I presume each month). I'm not sure I like the idea of one box failing and losing all TV in the house.
I suppose that if ATT owns Dish, then at some point Dish will go away for me...but, I don't know that for sure. -- Choose to make it a good day... don't wait for something good to happen! |

| said by roztaylor :What is going to run from the node to my home--hopefully not CAT5 (unless it is rated for outdoor use)? Around here the VRADs are going in adjacent to Cross-connect boxes. They are going to switch the copper pair from the B-Box to the VRAD. So there will be standard 22-gauge telco copper to the premises.
I expect it is no different in Texas than in California. -- Norman ~Oh Lord, why have you come ~To Konnyu, with the Lion and the Drum |
