PC Security Test: anyone heard of this?

ZDNet Downloads Digest is currently listing something called pcsecuritytest which is alleged to simulate virus, trojan, and other attacks for testing one's PC security. Sounds to me like a useful cover for a real attack. A Google search suggests that my concerns might be real. Does anyone know anything different?

I'm not endorsing it, but isn't that exactly what it's intended to do test?

I tried to run it on 3 separate PC's with these results:

1. PC with NAV 2007: ran to completion, with several pass and several fails.

2. PC with NAV 2007 + Spy Sweeper 5.2: PC Security Test hung after trying to add something to startup. Some error message in French I believe. Had to cancel program.

3. PC with ZoneAlarm Firewall + ZoneAlarm AntiVirus + Spy Sweeper 5.2: PC Security Test hung after trying to add something to startup. Had to cancel program.

All PC's are behind router/switch.

Conclusion: Didn't tell me much if anything.
