| Transferring service to another number
I've been helping my mom who recently retired brush up on her computer skills. She's an avid gardener and likes browsing the Internet for articles.
She has been piggy-backing via wireless card on a high-speed service one of her neighbors was connected to (all legit and with his permission.) However, he's moved and she's now without a connection.
Is it possible to have my SBC account transferred to her phone number so that 1) she can DSL service and 2) I can maintain the e-mail accounts I have established on the service? In short: transfer my service onto her phone line. |

| Hello,
I'm assuming that the SBC account you are speaking of is now on a different TN, and you would be wanting to move that service from it's existing TN to her home TN.
I've seen that done, but the problem does lie with the billing. The established account is billed to you, and must continue to be billed to you, but the phone number is probably billed to her. . . If you post this issue, with the required Telephone numbers (both), as well as which account you want to move, here: »/forum/sbcdirect, (Don't choose a region, just select the New Topic button), Then I or one of the other guys here should be able to verify what it would take. Sounds possible, but may need to change account holder of the TN from her to you to make it bill correctly. |
