| [CATV] problems with VOD/set top box
I have been having problems with VOD. I am a customer in NY state.
With the box with serial number: GI1442TD0737 VOD works infrequently, stating that I have not subscribed to a service, or that there are technical problems with VOD, or it simply does not work. One of the codes is CRM Except: 1 in 10 tries with HBO/SHO, etc on demand. It seems to work when I have to pay for a movie, which is very interesting.
With the box with serial number: M10634TD1893 VOD also works infrequently. If I try starting a program several times (like 3 or 4), it sometimes will start. But in all cases, I am not able to stop and save and resume positions in the program. In other words, if i pause for a minute, the program shuts off. And if I want to resume, I have to reorder the program and fast forward to where I was before.
Thanks very much for helping here. Note: I have tried turning off both boxes numerous times. Sometimes, the box gets stuck on the VOD channel and just freezes.
FYI, I unfortunately am near the end of my rope dealing with RCN, and if these issues cant get fixed soon, I really will switch to Time Warner. The amount of time wasted here is not worth the limited savings in $. |
