Wallpaper Thread Part II

Since the old one won't let me reply, here's a new one. Post images people can use for wall paper here. I would say keep them no larger than 1600x1200 unless requested for a different format.

Some assembly required, your mileage may vary, no pixels were harmed in the writing of this post. Brain cells, though, are a different matter. You want fries with that?

I'd just like to point out as I did in the previous thread, that there's not much point in posting a picture as wallpaper if you're going to frame it and sign it first. People choose wallpaper because it looks nice and integrates well with their desktop icons and taskbars.

The last thing I need is somebody's signature bleeding thru my transparent taskbar mucking around with my Time Display and my System Tray Icons.

I understand people want and deserve credit for their hard work, but the reality is if you're so big an egomaniac that you need your signature sitting on Joe Schmoe's desktop, then perhaps you shouldn't be posting to a public forum essentially releasing your photos to the public domain...

Either post the photo cleanly and freely, without embellishments or please don't bother posting at all...

One could make one's own if one was not happy with the ones posted ....

I post my images how I see fit posting them, and that is with my digital signature on all of them and stamped in the EXIF on many of them, if people want to use them under those conditions they are most welcome to, if not that too is their choice, the fact is I don't "need" my sig sitting on anyones desktop or anywhere else for that matter except on my images and ego has nothing to do with it. So if you don't like having my sig mucking your time display I suggest you over look my images and move on to those that don't have a sig (good luck) as mine WILL be posted in all of them. Whether you choose to use them or not is totally up to you.

Then why even bother posting to a wallpaper thread? There are plenty of other "ego vehicle" galleries out there. Why waste everyone's time posting useless wallpaper?

Most images on this site are signed by the photog, if you feel so strong about not using an image because of this then why even bother reading this thread?

We're just beating a dead horse here, if you want to use them as is be my guest, if not thats fine too but it doesn't mean the whole world feels the same.

I publicly apologize to all, and withdraw from this specific part of the threads conversation. Though I'll continue to contribute images. I truly am sorry, I never should have even gone there. Everyone already knows the reasoning for signatures.

Once you fix the non-4:3 aspect ratio, the sig is partially cut off anyway -- problem solved.

Very important. Set this to CENTER. Doing this will give you a wallpaper of just rubberbands, it won't look like a ball. Does that make sense? Ah well, just try it!
