I plan on using it for Rendering videos and doing digital photo editing. No games at all.

I started looking at prebuilt system once I started pricing out my own system on NewEgg and got to about $1k just for the basic system, no frills PC. My thinking was for another $49, I was getting a 19in monitor, wireless keyboard and mouse, TV Tuner, Card Reader etc.....

So your suggestion is to still go with the custom built system for about the same price?

Thanks for taking the time to voice your opinion. Just hearing another viewpoint really helps sometimes.

Fairfax, VA		 If you are not going to overclock/play game ... the Dell is a good one. Cheap, reliable. All you need is adding more memory and a good video card for your video redering, etc.
