The blurb seemed like it was leaning toward what the Cableco's say, that everybody wants premium speeds since most Telco customers are also going with the higher tiers (my read: stats like that could push the Telco's to eliminate the lower tiers). What I should have said was why alienate people the way the Cableco's do. The article claims the majority of their customers are on higher tiers, but last I checked, 42% and 31% are not a majority, so the majority of total customers are still on lower plans, but the majority of new subscribers are going for faster speeds (as stated further on). |
