This company cause innumerous losses to startup and "whistle-blowers" let alone the actual users whose very PCs and internet accounts were affected.

| AFAIK, any fine paid to a government agency goes to that government agency's budget, meaning the FTC gets to pocket the $3M.
I.E. a XxX County Sheriff writes me a traffic ticket and I acquiesce and pay said ticket, the fine goes to XxX County.
