| Re: [modem/router] WRT54G & Westell 6100 There is two ways to connect a linksys with Verizon service,
1-Modem(PPPoe)-Linksys(Auto-DHCP)
2-Modem(Bridge)-Linksys(PPPoe)
If u select the first option
Verify that modem is working and u have internet access with it, connect the Linksys directly into the computer (NO MODEM involved..repeat NO MODEM)
-Access 192.168.1.1 - user(blank)-password(admin)
Change local ipaddress to another 3 class like 192.168.2.1
for AVOID double NATING they have the same ipaddress
- reconnect modem linksys computer.... it should work now or maybe u need repair local area connection

- Second option put modem bridge disable dhcp server....IMPORTANT disable for avoid DOUBLE NAT, access Linksys 192.168.1.1 input user name and password, save, go to status receive a WAN IP internet access if not check DNS it could be many THINGS!!! |
