Why not just change the url for the Throbber so it opens the particular Google link you want?

3 edits | Thanks Grail Knight, this would do nicely. i followed the link and directions you supplied and entered "throbber" in the filter menu of about:config. this action comes up a blank in search results,is there a way to create a value for this to modify.
in FF 1.5,pressing it would take me to FireFoxes site...clicking it now has no result although it does animate when when i surf. could it have a different name in 2.0?

I do not use the throber myself but remembered you could use it for whatever site you wanted. --
I like life. It's something to do.
|

| reply to wheeled In about:config search for "browser.throbber.url".
If it doesn't exist create it as type "string" with the value of your choice. In my default installation its value is "http://www.mozilla.org/". -- HCN: Because you deserve a rest!
