kudos:1 | Why are Speed Test Java Applets blank? I've click on the link to download the Java Plugin and am told by Java that I have the latest edition of Java. So then why are the applets blank? I'm using Maxthon 2.0.

If you have the latest edition of Java then you have a "java console" which you can open from the control panel or systray icon. What does it show?
Have you tried disabling security products like norton that can interfere? |

kudos:7 | In your control panel, if you have the sun.java.com panel, you should have an item for Java Plug-in.
In there under "basic" there is a setting to show the java console? |

Sorry, guess it's must Maxthon 2.0. I tested it in IE 7 and the speed tests work just fine. I'll have to make a bug report at the Masthon forum.

| Tell Masthon that I use the standard trick to get around "click to activate" which is a javascript function that must document.write the applet lines.
It is documented here:

Thanks Justin for your help. I upgraded to the latest version of Maxthon 2.0 and the problem is now resolved. By default Maxthon had selected MS Java and I couldn't select Sun Java until I upgraded. I thought I should post this just in case there are other Maxthon users out there.
