New Feature: Grouped Test Results

justin See Profile has added an interesting new feature that allows test results to be grouped. As an example ATT Midwest forum members in IL have grouped together their results, »/testhistory?view=1 . If done properly it can make finding large area problems very easy to identify and if people are searching for service they can see in general what they might expect in a certain region or in this case a new service.

You can bet as u-Verse takes off everyone will be very interested in seeing how well it works or how it compares to their current service. Really any information on what UVerse looks like will be ever so helpful. As a bonus for participating within a group justin See Profile is offering free Line Monitoring for your service as well »/schedule

Obviously for this group you would need to have UVerse service. If you do please post here and I will begin a group and send you an invite.

Quick question. You mentioned that if we joined the U-verse group, we would get free line monitoring, how do I go about signing up for it? Whenever I go to the setup page, it doesn't say anything about signing up for free besides the basic line monitoring...am I missing something? Is the free line monitoring just the basic, or is it premium? I may be looking in the wrong places for this too, and if I am, could you please point me in the correct direction? Thanks in advance.

Stupid question, but what is the direct link to the U-verse Combined Results page? I know it starts with »/testhistory?view= but what number is it that comes after view=?

One thing to note when signing up with a 24/7 line monitor, you MUST allow your RG to be pinged, otherwise it will show up 100% loss.

To do this on the 3800HGV-B, go here: »192.168.1.254/xslt?PAGE=E13 and type your current password when it asks you for it. You will then need to uncheck at least the box for Block Ping, I am not sure if unchecking the Stealth Mode box is required, but I have both unchecked. After you do that, press Save down at the bottom, and you are done.

Is there something wrong with the New York City line monitor server, or maybe a hop along the way? Both Spenster and I are showing erratic ping loss, but only on that server, the other ones are fine, except, the San Francisco server has never shown anything for me yet.

Looking at some other DSL areas I see the same thing. For the most part Texas monitors show high ping loss for about a 24 hour period. It included me as well. As other at&t users in other states were fine I would guess it was an at&t node not answering pings very nicely.

Not sure what the problem is here. You might try posting a question in Site Help where you would might have a better chance of getting a definitive answer.
