| Browsing History?
I'm using Firefox V2
My browsing history (the drop down list of websites visited in the URL bar at the top of the page)seems to be stuck at eight sites. ie the eight sites that are listed in the drop down list NEVER change - the same URL's have remained the same for days.
Is there something I should be configuring or is this some kind of bug in my installation?

| Have you cleared your Browser History at all?
Tools - Options - Privacy - Private Data - Settings
Click the settings box and then check off the items you want to clear.
It is pretty much cut and dry from there.

| Thanks for the replies.
Grail Knight: I already have the "always clear my private data" box unchecked as I want to retain my browsing history. I also have "retain pages visited for last 9 days"
But the problem remains
ModemHead: I looked at the history.dat properties and the only check is in the "Archive" box, is that correct?

Are the sites in there ones you frequent the most?
I'm not really sure what they use to determine what shows up in there but it might be a combo of most visited and recently visited.
Basically, I never use it so I'm not sure. |

Did you try to highlight any of the entries using the up/down arrow buttons and delete them using the keyboard?

| They are added as you type in urls.
This is also the order in which they will appear and should only remain there based on Your History settings.
If you save your history for say 5 days they should remain there for 5 days also.

So they are! I was under the impression that even sites visited from my 'bookmarks' would be listed.
So it only lists sites that you physically type in!
