Re: [ Dial-up] AOL dialup

YOU THE MAN!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, the online conversion or call AOL options give me options now, that I did not know about.

Yes, you can keep your current AOL email address after you cancel your dialup account. However, it was pointed out that AOL is now FREE. You should call or use the online conversion to FREE AOL, thus your email account will remain active.

You can choose to gain access to your email through the normal AOL client software, the new OPEN whatever it's called online version, or just plain old portal at aol.com.

Work for ya?

I do not really care to use AOL at all... What I need to know is can I keep the same AOL email I currently have with my AOL dialup service, if I cancel the service and go with another ISP.

Yes, actually AOL is free if you aren't on dialup (same exact thing you use now, you just choose the broadband option on the main screen instead of dialup, and thats it). It doesn't matter if you use verizon, time warner, or any wifi connection anywhere, etc. , aol can be used free with any connection.

I posted this on the dialup forum also..... If I am using AOL dialup and have my email thru AOL, can I signup for Verizon or Comcast Broadband, then unsubscribe to AOL (as in- not able to use them as a ISP anymore), but still keep my AOL email address.

Thanks
