Does anyone know why the "Versus" channel is in the premier package in PA(channel 73) instead of the separate sports package like everyone else? Is PA somehow special?

YEs, we are. Verizon owes us millions of dollars in taxes dropped and special payments to them so we would have dsl/fios first in the whole state (1974) we didn't get either so we are special

I wouldn't say they are special, but the prices for FIOS TV in PA (and supposedly NJ) are higher than the rest of the country.

I don't seem to be able to sign up in Tredyffrin yet.... We already have FIOS installed for internet (1200'+ drop... took all day, 9am to 10:30pm). Right on the Tredyffrin/Charlestown border.

Replying to myself - it IS available now in Charlestown, on the other side of our 1-lane gravel trail, the lucky bastards. They had FIOS like 4 months or more before us, too.

According to a poster on AVSForum, it's now available in the Chesterbrook/Wayne part of Tredyffrin. According to the online test, I still can't get it (on Tredyffrin/Charlestown border), and there's no order phone number for PA at all (online order only). Any advice? Is it that Chesterbrook and Wayne are out a different CO?

Bethel Township, Delaware County has also signed a franchise agreement.

Fios TV isn't coming until mid to late 2007, though.....

Update for people in the West Chester area...

I've been checking the FiOSTV availability checker every day and today... it says that Fios TV is available.

I'm in West Goshen Twp, north of the Borough of West Chester, West of Pottstown Pike.

Now I have to decide if I want to order or if I want to stay with DirecTV... it's a hard decision to give up the DirecTivos and I'm ready to make the leap to HDTV since I just got a Plasma TV yesterday.
