I have gotten fax to work through VS...the most success I have had however is using my POTS line and using my VS number on bridge mode set up like a calling card on my fax modem. I have not tried with a stand alone fax machine. I got it to work. Upgraded firware on pap2t and made sure code was G711u not G729a. Also lowering fxs gain helps.
Not 100% reliable as a fax but I only fax maybe 2-3 docs per month. |

| reply to w8sdz Grandstream GXP-2000 configuration for VoiceStick needed
I am having trouble to setup my Grandstream GXP-2000 with Voicestick.
I can receive incoming calls (including with G.729 codec). But can not make out-going calls. For example, when I dial 0000 to access my voicestick voice mail, I get the following error message: 488 not acceptable try a different vocoder
Please see the attachment. All major codecs are anabled. I have updated GXP-2000 to the newest beta-version.
P.S. I have no problems with other providers with my GXP-2000. Moreover, VoiceStick works fine with my Sipura3000. |

Set G.711u as the default or preferred codec. That should fix the problem.

I am really sick of fighting with Voicestick. For $5 a month |

Yes, config InnoMedia MTA6328-2Re is simple
follow this to unlock the unit »direct.nuvio.com/sunrocket/provi···328.html
Add change only three pages is enough to get the unit work.
i am still trying to figure out a way to change dial plan to have 7 digital dial, will report later. |

2 edits | Inno 6328 config sorted the 7 digit (local) dial with a telnet only command for FXS settings called Prefix Digits.
It is not a dialplan (digit_map) method like in the AC211 or sipura devices. |

| You can try following, but it may not wrok, since they can not specify different domain/proxy/etc on two lines
You need use telnet to active line 2
telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx gizmo's ip
user name admin password slapshot (this is defaultif you didn't change it after unlock)
then type Mq
follow the instruction
After that, you can add line 2's info from webpage, like second pic I posted above |

Dear Valued VoiceStick Customer,
We wish to inform you that major changes are being made at VoiceStick. This major system upgrade will affect all aspects of our service, and will greatly improve call quality and network stability. We are implementing new technology to keep you on the cutting edge with your Internet Phone Service!
In the coming months we will be able to offer new services and features as a result of the changes being made over the coming days.
Our system changeover will occur: Thursday July 26, 2007 at 2:00 PM EDT
There may be a minor system outage during the transitional period, so please be aware of this if you are having trouble with your line.
If you are a Voicestick Customer using the i2bridge, global call forwarding or the Softphone, you will not need to change anything about the way you connect. If you are using an ATA or our MG3 you must confirm that you are connecting to the right address.
We will now be utilizing the following connection ports for SIP connectivity:
Server: 206.165.50.116 Port: 80
Server: 206.165.50.117 Port: 5060
Please ensure that your devices is connected on one of the above listed servers / ports.
Thank you for your continued support of Voicestick!

2 edits | reply to dsl_boy Starting today AC 211-SR doesn't work
Something weird is going on with VS. Till this morning AC 211-SR worked just fine with the following settings:
Primary server IP Address: 206.165.50.116 Port: 5060 Domain Name: i2telecom.com
Now it doesn't work.
In the same time the softphone is working as well as the SJPhone with 206.165.50.116 as a server for NAT proxy and Registrar. It even started to work at my office behind a firewall. Would appreciate any help with AC 211-SR.
UPD: Figured out what was wrong. Apparently after the upgrade "User / Phone Num" field requires 11 digit number.
UPD2: Spoke too soon. Outgoing calls work, but incoming don't. They go straight to the VM. Any ideas what to do? |

Can anyone tell me what are the settings I should use for SJphone to get it to work on a Windows mobile PPC device and VoiceStick. I tried the settings on page 15 of this thread and that doesn't seem to work.
Thanks! |
