to slow! I don't want a downgrade maybe if they let openGl take care of there desktop environment.

linux XGL takes little cpu compare to vista 3D desktop when u move windows around like crazy cpu goes 100% xgl max it takes is 20% i install it my little bro PC A64 3200+ 1GB of ram 9700pro==(got a 5)on vista performance chart. ( not to mention it took 300MB of ram just when i was idle)
I was trying to play back some (anime) in avi format it wasted 50% of cpu + i open a mpeg2 video @ same time and system start it to choke.
this was with ATI WHQL driver. Maybe it was just A64 3200+ couldn't take it but i can tell u i played HD files before on that system and the avi file takes 15% with spikes on 20% on XP i think i even play some H264 with coreavc on it just fine if i remenber correctly.
