It's not. I did some checking. Miller Brewing purchased Meister Brau and reformatted the formula and came out with Miller Lite.

Sorry! Here when you ask for a Blue. You get a Labatts Blue. A good Canadian beer.

I'll take the Guinness.... either straight, or the Black & Tan. Give one to Gungerdin, too.

The only problem with Blue, is the U.S. version of it is only a shadow of the real deal. My brother from Quebec was here visiting a few years ago and tried US Blue for the first time and spit it out. He thought it was watered down swill. He brought over a couple cases of the real thing and the difference is like night and day.

The Brits also call what we have here watered down swill.
And yes, I agree, Guinness is great. That and the ORIGINAL Fosters (in the oil can).

When I USED to drink, those were my drinks of choice. If I couldn't get them, I wouldn't drink anything...lol

Screamer cant be as bad as Meister Brau!
Never had a Meister Brau. Is it that bad?
My freshman year in college I used to drink that. It was like 3.99 a twelve pack.

You're either very young and that wasn't that long ago, or beer is really expensive where you went to school. Today, I get Busch or Busch Lite for $4.99 for a 12-pounder.

When I was in college, we called a 12-Pack the "hogger", drink that and see who can pick up the ugliest girl!

I NEVER partook myself!

As someone who's been lurking and enjoying the Beaver's travels, I think he really wants to try a REAL beer and some of the best micro brews are in the WEST.

If Mr. Beaver is up for a long distance travel, I know a few spots he might like to visit in the Pacific Northwest (and at least one poster in this thread can vouch for me ). Would Mr. Beaver be open to expanding his travel just a weeee little bit????

Lets be fair here tmp...she did say "some of the best micro brews are in the WEST." The only part that was wrong was the "he really wants to try a REAL beer"...he has had plenty of real good Micro brew beer. Welcome to the thread Gizmo, we look forward to seeing you around
