said by MuDvAyNe :Well, did she kick your butt lol Haven't played her yet, took a few days before we got the second controller and all she's played was bowling. Boxing-wise I was undefeated until I my experience reached 700, then I had the crap kicked out of me by a dude I barely defeated earlier (Felt like Clubber Lane, I knocked him down easily in the first round then all of a sudden he bounces back up and embarrasses me).
Baseball-wise I was cruising until experience got to 1100, since then I'm like 2-15 and almost every loss is to a female (Helen, for one will throw you a 91 mph screwball, a 72 mph splitter then finish you off with a 101 mph fastball. How the heck are you supposed to get a hit when that's being thrown at you???) |

| reply to justin I'm moving my Wii outside tonight.
I have some white canvas, and my LCD Projector. I hung the canvas on my back yard fence, and will be projecting the Wii on the canvas. Will be enjoying a nice round of golf in my back yard

| Here is a Much longer video, lil more detailed.
We had a massive BLAST playing outside. Tike's lit, even used the tiki's as a Sensor Bar because we were standing too far back from the Wii Sensor. Worked Flawless!

| reply to justin I had been wanting Carnival since seeing ads for it in magazines. When it finally came out I of course could not find in in my area. Thankfully one of the local video stores had it for rent.
Got it home and DH and I started playing. The graphics are very brightly colored and it has some cute carnival music. However, it is the games that are lacking. Sure they have things like pop a balloon, dunk tank, the game where you squirt water in clowns mouth to pop ballon, ski ball, ect, but the games are just like being at a real carnival- they cost way too many tickets and when you do win, you get rewarded with a very crappy prize. Most of the prizes you get range from 3 tickets-5 tickets which when you earn enough you can trade them in for things like being able to edit your player, unlocking games, ect.
The worst was the test of strength game. You have to shake the remoter as hard as you can from side to side and then bring it down like a hammer. Now, I don't know about you, but at the Carnivals, I don't have to shake my sledgehammer to whack the stump. Many of the motions required by this game hurt my wrist and elbow after just a few short moments of game play.
The one game where my DH and I spent our most time was where you stick coins into a machine to try to have it move coins from one level to another until they all drop down. I have no idea what it is called
Anyway, I am glad I spent 3.99 on the rental for 7 days instead of paying 49.99. I was not impressed by it at all. Definitely do not recommend this one
Now I am waiting for Wii Fit and EA Playground

| reply to justin Just want to say, it's almost been 1 year, daily use from at least 1 of the 7 people in my household. My wii has been taken on road trips, been played at the hospital, a wedding, and in my backyard using a LCD Projector to project it on a large screen, and the Wii has not missed a single tick. I have to give a large thumbs up to Nintendo for Durability, and game play experience.
Just need some more awesome games. -- »www.WiiNetCommunity.com FREE RELIABLE WEB HOSTING! |

1 edit | reply to justin Very very very cool! The interactivity is second to none. The feeling of reality with the Sports pack is something like I've never felt from a video game system. In particular the bowling, it works as if it was a real bowling ball and really enables me to work on my game. Family and friends come over and are in absolute amazement when they see it for the first time. People you never expected to play a video game system now do. Also nice graphics and a speedy processor in there! Also love the fact of downloading old favorties and having them readily available and not having to worry about the old system messin' up on me!
A couple of downsides however. First and foremost the fact it does not have an ethernet port. You shouldn't have to go buy a $20-$30 adaptor for it. They need more games and in particular games with multiplayer on-line. I enjoy gaming with people. I recently purchased madden 2008 for PlayStation 2 over the one for Wii for the simple fact I can play on-line with it. Also they need to get into the halo, world of warcraft, and others alike gaming world.
But hey, what do those downsides even matter, they're selling far faster than Nintendo can produce! -- "You're as worthless as a screen door on a submarine!" Check out my Internet Radio Station & DJ Service, »www.thebomb102.com. |

1 edit | reply to justin I'm very LATE to the Wii Ownership, and actually bought it on a "whim" in the middle of the night off eBay within the last week or so. I must say, I"m glad I did ....really love it......very user friendly, fun, and enjoyable... Nintendo reminds me of Apple in that regard (wish I could buy Nintendo stock, lol).
It sure is a winner....and I see why it has outsold both the PS3 and Xbox360.......its just simple, uncomplicated "fun"......... though I do love my 360, especially the graphics |

| I also just got the Wii and it is quite awesome. I thought it would be fun, but not as much as I ended up having. Friends that didn't play games want to play it. I can also play friends far away in games like Mario Kart Wii. I got that and Metroid Prime: Corruption and so far both are great.
Even though it isn't High Def, most people don't have it yet, so it's not really a killer for people buying it. I like that Nintendo put in functionality to have it run at 16:9 and 480p so people who have widescreen HDTVs can get some better graphics.
Nintendo opened a market they never thought they would. Senior centers are getting Wii's because people of any age think they games are fun. This thing is a hit and I can't wait to see what Nintendo puts in their next console. I'm hoping for 1080p High Def and some really kick ass interactive games. |

Yeah, in the final aspect, it seems Nintendo has thought about their products, while Microsoft and Sony are bombarding their crowd with nice looking but utterly irritating hack&slash ad infinitum, Nintendo kept their focus on the good old FUNNY games, something the 2 bigger player are missing completely. Also, with the newer Wii Fit 2, it brings even more fun to the living room.
I can only compare to the PS3, but imho when comparing PS3 with Wii, The PS3 is bringing nice looking screenshots, while the Wii is bringing fun, and that's what the big majority will choose in the end. |
