Give OOL a phone call. I did it and the supervisor I eventually talked to (after explaining it wasn't on MY end) told me to just have people call in and report it that way "the noise" will get it fixed.

It's been extremely slow to all speed test sites except OOL for several days here as well.

It's been off/on like this for a week. I told the OOL tech that I am just going to switch to Verizon DSL after the holiday if it's not resolved by then.

Download DrTCP021.exe from »/drtcp and save it to your desktop. Launch it and set your Path MTU Discovery to Default or Yes. Save, exit and reboot. Re-run the tweak test and post your results. Also re-test your speed and post the results. See if that helps since your MTU's are mismatched.

Geek - that can't be right. FiOS overprovisions and ALWAYS delivers AT LEAST 20/5 speeds even if you are downloading from a server that is on dial-up.

I know you won't be getting FIOS soon where you are, but another "grass isn't always greener" post at »[TV] FIOS TV Price Increases as of 1/14/07!! shows increases of 7% for FIOS Premier TV tier and 26% increase on STB prices. I thought only CV raises rates?

I called OOL. Related that I, and others, are having the problem. From the tone of the tech, got a feeling it was a waste of time.

FWIW, I'm also in 07410 and my download speeds have been very slow and inconsistent for the past couple of days. I went to the Washingtson, DC Speakeasy test and this is my latest result (it's actually a little better than it was earlier, but still slow):

Last result:
Download Speed: 844 kbps (105.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 1775 kbps (221.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
