»[HOT Deal] Xbox Premium $299 A/R, Core $199 A/R at Microcenter |

justin Australian join:1999-05-28 Brooklyn, NY | but it is more fun to line up with 10,000 other people ready to stress test amazon web servers, then be grouchy all the way through thanksgiving dinner because you didn't make it. |

That Microcenter deal is good through December 5, so it works out as a perfect backup plan (assuming stock is sufficient). |

Dennis Premium,Mod join:2001-01-26 Algonquin, IL | yeah, but to me I'd rather not play the waiting game (especially since the story got farked the other day) and the go around buying 3 other peripherals just to get it working on my tv (damn HD) |

| reply to Dennis I have a feeling that when the feces hits the fan at 11am Pacific when I click to buy the $100 Xbox that I will be unsuccessful due to extreme competition. There is a Micro Center 30 minutes from my house who has confirmed that they have an ample supply. When I bought 2 of my sons an Xbox several years ago, there were different versions available. Earlier version had DVD drives that were problematic and there were also issues with power supplies. The later the version you got, the less problems you were likely to incur. With the Xbox 360 are there different versions on the market which one should avoid? -- I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy. |

3 edits | I never expected to get one BUT to not even be able to move off a page gives you no hope at all.
I did get one of the bikes though, i have been waiting to checkout for almost 10 mins now...
UPDATE: It seems that my code for the bike was stolen and redeemed before I could check out. Geeze people are crazy! |

| reply to justin That was a useless attempt. Refreshed the page 2 mins before 2PM EST and the page timed out after 5 mins. Gave up after waiting for it to refresh and just played Halo. Seems like the entire world went online just to get this deal. Next week might not be so bad because the best thing looks to be the cordless drill for $10... -- Please use all available doors...you have 33 to choose from. |

| reply to justin I think people are bitter. I did not get one, but I did jump back in and got the bike, so it is not a total loss. There were literally millions of people in there trying to get it at once. That means each user had less than a one in a thousand chance at getting the 360.
Wait 'til next week. Portable DVD player for $25! I will be trying again! |

JohnnyG101 Mafiaoso Premium join:2000-12-25 Charlotte, NC clubs: 2 edits | I don't think it's being bitter. Their systems could not handle the capacity and THAT is where the problem lies. Anyways, I too got the bike. (After my code was stolen..I called up and was given a new one) |

i would have found it more acceptable to have been able to get a page load with "sold out" rather than looking at "loading..." for 5-10 minutes followed by "sold out". |

| Yea, we all probably refreshed at the same time. I, admittedly, was using the auto-refresh function in opera. All 6 of my tabs (ok ok..I know..but I know some people had multiple computers setup for this thing) timed out and I couldn't even access the page until around 11:15. I was just like WTF! Really, amazon was NOT ready for this at all. |
