Comcast raising rates again in the Bay Area

Comcast the Grinch is raising rates again.

I wish we would have more then 1 provider here in the bay.

Comcast, with 1.7 million customers in the area, said Tuesday it will raise the rates on both digital and analog television services starting in January. The average Comcast video customer now will receive a monthly bill of $44.64 for the standard cable package, an increase of 5.86 percent.

After Comcast raised their rates one two many times, I dropped them a few years ago and moved to Dish Network. I've found Dish's service to be, not only significantly cheaper, but also significantly better.

I switched to DirecTV a couple of years ago. The prices increases drove me crazy. I now get well over a 100 channels for cheaper than analog cable.

Last month, we cut our service back to BASIC. Paying $12.xx/month. Don't even really need that as everything I watch gets downloaded over the net anyway.
